Professor Laura Chisolm

I am very sad to report the passing of my colleague Professor Laura Chisolm who battled metatstatic breast cancer for some years with quiet dignity.  When I joined the faculty at CWRU she was one of the few senior tenured Chisolm_sm women on the faculty and she was a strong mentor to those who came after her.  She was a terrific and popular teacher and a good friend.  There will be a memorial service for her tomorrow in Cleveland.  Details have been posted at the Wills, Trusts & Estates Prof Blog.

So sorry about your colleague, Jacqui. I didn't know her, but it sounds like she'll be missed.

Really, really sad to read this. My sympathies. You did her proud, of that I am certain.

This is terrible. And so sad. Professor Chisolm was an amazing professor. I still remember discussions of the Rule Against Perpetuities fondly, listing her first year Property class as one of my favorites of law school. She was a wonderful teacher who took time with and appreciated her students.

Laura, a shining star of the Franklin Thomas Backus School of Law class of 1981, and now a feather on His wing, soar. Bill H '81
