The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is looking to hire a number of faculty.
The first is the Clarissa Cerda Professorship in Law and Technology, which will also include service as Faculty Director of the Center for Law, Science, and Innovation (link). Candidates for this position should possess a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching in the fields of law and technology, along with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring students and engaging critically with the regulation of emerging technologies.
We are also hoping to fill the Leo Beus Chair in Civil Litigation and Trial Advocacy, the law school’s newest endowed chair. Successful candidates will have a distinguished record of trial advocacy and extensive courtroom experience. In addition to excellence in practice, the holder of the Beus Chair should be deeply committed to teaching and inspiring students in the areas of trial advocacy and civil litigation. Although there is a preference for a tenured full professor, we may also explore appointments outside the tenure track.
Finally, the College of Law is seeking to appoint several pre-tenure faculty members who demonstrate exceptional scholarly promise. While we welcome applicants from all areas of legal scholarship, we have particular interest in candidates eager to teach foundational first-year courses.
