CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
For the ninth year in a row, the “Three Rivers IP and Technology Law Colloquium” will bring together scholars writing in intellectual property or technology law for a small, day-long work-in-progress colloquium.
The event is jointly sponsored by the two Pittsburgh-based law schools – Duquesne Kline and Pitt – hence, “Three Rivers” for those who don’t know! Hosting rotates between the two schools. This year Duquesne Kline will host.
The date of the colloquium is Friday, February 13, 2026. While it’ll be cold and the spring schedule is already crammed with IP and tech conferences, we hope you’ll consider joining us for some Pittsburgh hospitality, friendly conversation and collegiality.
We are now seeking submissions for WIPs to workshop at the colloquium. This email is being sent to the regular IP and cyber lists, but if you know of someone who might want to attend who wouldn’t otherwise see the message, please pass it along. This is a pay-your-own-way event, but we will provide breakfast and lunch at the colloquium as well as parking at the law school. We are typically in-person only, so no Zoom option is planned.
We hope for a maximum of 12-15 people attending in total with 6-8 papers to be discussed. Each presenter will have 45 minutes to an hour for discussion of their project (depending on how many proposals we have). Early stage projects are very welcome. We prefer discussion of works in progress than formal presentations of completed works. If you would like to submit a project for consideration, please email Jacqui Lipton (liptonj@duq.edu) by January 15, 2026.
Best,
Jacqui Lipton & Dan Brean (Duquesne Kline)
Mike Madison (Pitt)
