Faculty Lounge Breaks Into The Rankings

Paul Caron has posted his 2008 law professor blog traffic rankings.  We're not at the top of the heap, but we're in  the heap – and that's gratifying news.  For the period of January 1 through December 31, 2008, we were 34th in total visitors and 28th in page views.  And we only existed for eleven of the twelve months – having opened our doors on February 6.   Of course, we're going through all the challenges of any new blog – each of us is trying to produce posts regularly while still living  reasonably normal lives.  Maybe we're the least professional of the law professor blogs: most often we seem to tilt toward reasonable lives, rather than new content.

Other blogs have a good answer, of course: more bloggers!  Perhaps we'll go down that path as well; as it is, we are already the most loosey goosey blog when it comes to visitors.  Indeed, we're a veritable Hotel California: guest bloggers never actually seem to depart.  (Sometimes, alas, they go silent.)

Anyway, we'll be celebrating our one year anniversary soon, balloons and all, but for now we're just happy to be on the board.
