Happy Birthday To Us! The Faculty Lounge Turns 1

Thanks to everyone for supporting us through our first full year.  We've broken the 170,000 visitor mark – even if some of you arrived as the result of Google searches like "Why Is Barack Obama Famous."  (The search apparently yielded this Lounge post.)  It hasn't always been easy – it's tough to keep a blog brimming with content – but we've managed to weather the slow periods and reignite ourselves.  We've tried to be helpful – with lists of things only current and future law faculty could care about.  We've been a tad controversial.  We've kept our laser focus on Starbucks.  And through it all, we've never veered from our basic aspiration: to be a 24-7, easily accessible lounge, open to anyone who wants to talk ideas or ponder questions large and small.  To offer a chance for a good old fashioned schmooze.

And as Laura always says, feel free to bring your own sherry and biscuits.
