An Alternative Supreme Court Shortlist – From Teresa Roseborough To Ricky Revesz

Christina Nwachukwu Jr., over at Huffington Post, has proposed an interesting, impressive, and unexpected list of potential Supreme Court nominees.  He has intentionally passed over many of the media darlings, focusing more intensively (but not exclusively) on highly qualified women and people of color.  Not surprisingly, he includes folks like Sonia Sotomayor and DeVal Patrick.  But there are some more intriguing folks here – like Leah Ward Sears (who withdrew from the Maryland dean search), Teresa Wynn Roseborough (who was a finalist in the UNC dean search a couple of years ago), and Ricky Revesz – who I have not seen surfacing on many guess lists.  There are others who may turn heads, like Harold Ford, Jesse Jackson Jr. and Jennifer Granholm.  The complete list is here.  Image is Teresa Wynn Roseborough.
