James Rasband (pictured) is the new dean at the J. Reuben Clark Law School. BYU's press release is here. Rasband clerked for Judge Clifford Wallace (9th Circuit) and worked for Perkins Coie for a few years. He has been at BYU since 1995 and has administrative experience at both the law school and the university levels. He has taught torts, water law, natural resources law, and wildlife law. (What? No UCC experience?!?!?)
As an alum of the law school, I extend congrats to Professor Rasband and wish him well!
