Cardozo Law Review on-line companion: de novo

The Cardozo Law Review's on-line companion, de novo, is up, with an inaugural essay by Judge Jack Weinstein, "Preliminary Reflections on Administration of Complex
Litigations."

De Novo has a broad mandate.   The editors there have a broad vision for the companion, including
  • Responses to articles published elsewhere, including and especially the
    Cardozo Law Review itself
  • Updates to previous articles, perhaps in light of a recent development(s)
  • Stand-alone pieces that are shorter in length and research expectations than
    a traditional law journal article
  • A collection of short commentaries on a given issue
  • Texts of speeches or presentations

The editors conclude "de•novo will undoubtedly foster and expedite the dialogue generated by the highly-regarded articles of the Cardozo Law Review. We urge you to join in the discourse by sending us your submissions."

And of course just to blow my own horn, de novo will shortly feature a brief essay I wrote on teaching law school seminars. I'd welcome feedback once it's posted. I should also give a shout out to the editors who are doing a terrific job of working in an efficient and timely manner to obtain and edit interesting work outside the traditional law review format. Thumbs up from me!
