University of Missouri law professor Stephen Easton has been named the new dean at the University of Wyoming College of Law. Easton is a graduate of Stanford Law School and has been at Mizzou since 1998. He is a trial advocacy and professional responsibility expert who previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of North Dakota. His publications are here.

Very interesting. I wonder how many other law school deans started out their academic career as students at community colleges (or even at schools like Dickenson State. My older brother lived in Dickenson for some time and it's hardly a place that produces a lot of academics.) I'm always happy to see someone from a non-traditional background do well.
