Texas Governor Perry Approves New State Law School

Dallas is getting a new law school.  After much waiting and watching,  Texas Governor Rick Perry signed new legislation authorizing and funding the creation of a new law school at the University of North Texas.  UNT Law is expected to welcome its first class in fall, 2011.  It's unclear how much state backing the school has received.  The city of Dallas has committed $16 million, however: $2 million in funding and $14 million in bond financing.  The money will be used to renovate the city's old City Hall facility.
