On behalf of the editors of the Seton Hall Law Review:
"The Seton Hall Law Review will be hosting its annual Symposium on
October 30, 2009, to address the impact of securities regulation on the current
global financial crisis. Specifically, this event will examine the origins and
genesis of the crisis, address the future of securities regulation both
domestically and internationally, and attempt to anticipate the role of
government agencies and private market participants in shaping and effectuating
regulation. Some of the brightest minds from the legal, financial, and academic
communities, state and federal governments, and self-regulatory organizations
will be on hand to assess and debate the challenges and opportunities presented
by the prospective landscape of global securities regulation, as well as discuss
what may be to come in the areas of corporate governance and risk management."
One of our popular guest bloggers, Eric Chaffee, will be presenting at the symposium along with a distinguished lineup of speakers. Details available here.
