Ole Miss Law Dean Samuel Davis Stepping Down

Ole-miss-university-mississippi-law Dean Samuel M. Davis, who has been leading the University of Mississippi School of Law for an impressive 12 years, will be stepping down this summer.  His letter to Ole Miss students is here.  Davis, an expert in juvenile law issues, has a BA from Southen Miss, a JD from the University of Mississippi, and an LLM from Virginia.  It'll be interesting to see what direction that law school takes as they select a new leader.  A 12 year deanship is very impressive – and though I don't know how he's been as a fundraiser, I can say that the school has done some very solid faculty hiring in recent years.  The fact that they've lost folks of the caliber of Michael Waterstone and Paul Secunda is a testament to their success.

We look forward to tracking their search!
