New Monument Coming Soon To Tuscaloosa

I'm deep in analysis of votes in the Virginia legislature in the early 1830s right now, so this is going to be fast.

There's a new statue — of Nick Saban — coming to the University of Alabama's walk of champions soon … perhaps as soon as the A-day game.  One of the things that interests me about this Tuscaloosa News story is how the company making the statue is talking about the image they're trying to project: "Coach Saban's love of student-athletes, his love of being a teacher, that is what we have been asked to emphasize. He won't be in a suit and tie — that's not his style. It will reflect more of his role as an encourager, a director, that's the general direction."  Is there some insight in this about faculty attire?  Are those who wear suits and ties not encouraging?  Maybe; we've spoken about this before at the faculty lounge.

Oh, please. They'll probably have him in whatever he wears when he's on the field at a game-whatever is most recognizable.
