In this post from last August, I proclaimed my profound joy that the CBS television series The Paper Chase had FINALLY (!) become available on DVD. Fans may recall that the critically acclaimed drama lasted only one season (1978-79) on network television. In the 1980s, cable network Showtime aired three additional seasons of the show, which again featured John Houseman as Professor Kingsfield, James Stephens as Hart, and a few of the other members of the original cast.
I'm a bit late to the party, but season #2 is now available on DVD (and has been since December). Better news! Those of us with a Netflix subscription can add the six-disc set (featuring 19 episodes) to our queue! Oh, happy day!
Not to mention that True Blood Season 2 just came out on disc last week. Nothing to do with law, I know – but for those of us who like shape-shifters and vampires, it's just the thing!
