Law School Programs in the New York Review of Books

As I'm sitting here getting caught up on my NYROB reading, I see a most impressive ad from Cardozo Law School about programs they have this fall (page 74 of the September 30 issue for those of you following along at home, as I often say in class).  It features

"Creative Time: Cutting-Edge Public Art and Intellectual Property Law" (September 15)

"Making History in the Courtroom: The Soviet Trials to the Khmer Rouge Trials" (September 15-16) (I, of course, immediately  thought some other trials along these lines — including the trials around the Tulsa riot, which appeared first in the Oklahoma courts in the 1920s and then again in  federal court in 2003).

"The Supreme Court Landmark Religion Case: Employment Div. v. Smith" (October 6-8)

"A Tribute to Paul Verkuil: A Conference on Administrative Law" (October 18)

"The Identity of the Constitutional Suspect" (October 25)

"Gender, Sexuality, and Democratic Citizenship" (November 15)

Cardozo's full calendar is here.

I've seen some other law school advertisements in NYROB of late, including the University of Alabama's symposia on Law, Knowledge, and the Imagination.
