Beth Garrett Named Provost At Southern Cal

Beth-garrett-provost-usc Elizabeth Garrett, the Frances R. and John J. Duggan Professor of Law, Political Science and Public Policy at the University of Southern California, was named provost of the university last week.  Garrett was previously on the faculty of the University of Chicago and she served as that law school's deputy dean from 1999-2001.

Garrett is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Virginia law school.  She clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall.
