For those interested in the intersection between patent law and access to medicine in the global trading arena, I would recommend Cynthia Ho's new book, Access to Medicine in the Global Economy: International Agreements on Patents and Related Rights. The book touches on different theoretical perspectives relating to patents and related rights, and how those perspectives might impact interpretations of international treaties on IP (such as TRIPs) as applied to manufacture and distribution of medicines globally. A very useful and much-needed addition to the literature.
