The University of New Mexico School
of Law anticipates potential faculty hiring in the areas of Clinical, Indian,
Natural Resources, core first-year curriculum, and/or Health law, to start
AY2013-14. Candidates must possess a
J.D. or equivalent legal degree. Preferred qualifications include a record of
demonstrated excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching and academic
scholarship. Entry-level and experienced
teachers are encouraged to apply.
Academic rank and salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
The
Clinical Law Program is recognized as a national leader in clinical education
and is consistently ranked as one of the top clinical education programs.
Sections include Business and Tax, Community Lawyering, Law Practice, and Southwest
Indian Law.
The Law and Indigenous Peoples Program is
widely regarded as one of the finest in the country. UNM Law has a longstanding tradition of
dedication and commitment to the development of the field of Indian law
education.
The Natural Resources and Environmental Law Program includes courses concerning
natural resources and the environment, as well as several related graduate
courses offered through other academic units at UNM.
