Controversy Over Staging of Uncle Tom’s Cabin

In my hometown of Philadelphia I understand there's a controversy brewing over a staging of a play based on Uncle Tom's Cabin.  I'm wondering now whether this will lead to a revival of discussion about the novel's importance for jurisprudence — or of Stowe's ideas about slavery and jurisprudence in her later novel, Dred: A Tale of the Great Dismal Swamp?
