Late last week, Sarah Tran, a junior professor at SMU Law, passed away far too young. One story of her remarkable commitment to her students notwithstanding her battle with leukemia is here.

She truly showed amazing courage and commitment to her work, and her daughter looked so happy in that photo.
What sad news.
That story made me cry, and reminded me to be grateful for all that I have. What a loss, though.
Sarah was a remarkable person, vibrant, loving, and dedicated in absolutely every endeavor she undertook. Her passing is crushingly sad. I'm so grateful to have known her.
Sarah was who we all aspire to be as law professors. Here is a link to donate to a fund established to help her surviving family, which includes two young children: https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/2j34/sarah-tran-memorial-fund
