Professor Vikram Amar, of UC Davis Law, has been named the new Dean of the University of Illinois College of Law. Amar was one of three finalists for the slot – along with Laura Rosenbury of Wash U. (who has since accepted the deanship at Florida) and Bobby Ahdieh of Emory. He holds a JD from Yale.
