The "Colored Hero" of Harper's Ferry: John Anthony Copeland and the War against Slavery (Cambridge 2015) was published today in the U.K. and Europe.
The U.S. release date is set for September 10. I will be blogging about Copeland and his fellow abolitionists – including some of the lawyers — shortly after Labor Day.
