Hulk Hogan (whose real name is Terry Bollea) was awarded $115 million in his lawsuit against Gawker for publishing excerpts from a sex tape. I have not followed the case closely enough to have an opinion on the merits, although some sources have suggested that the judge's rulings had been unusually favorable toward Bollea/Hogan, especially regarding the jury instructions.
Those issues will be resolved by the appellate court (unless the parties settle in the meantime), but I have a different question:
Why was Hogan allowed to wear his signature bandana while testifying?
I have never known a U.S. courtroom where men were allowed to wear headgear, other than for religious reasons (and sometimes not even then).
But there was Hogan, on the witness stand no less, with his head wrapped in a black bandana. Is that common in Florida courts? Was it the subject of a motion and a ruling? Or did everyone just assume that Hogan would appear in his usual head covering?
[UPDATE: It appears that Judge Campbell granted Hogan's request to wear a "plain" bandanna during his testimony, although her reasoning is not clear from the newspaper article.]

To the extent you're worried about the effect on the jury, you probably shouldn't be. Given Hogan's theory of the case, his wearing it helped Gawker.
Whatever makes him happy. If he wants to wear a shmate in court, so be it. I have seen all sorts or head garb in Illinois courts. (Baseball type caps are forbidden due to potential gang color issues) One judge let a self-proclaimed Sovereign Citizen wear his Moorish fez. Telling folks to take off clothing is too much trouble when you have 150 misdemeanors on a call with a good portion of them requesting hearings of some sort. Why bother? The real issue for me as a schlepper Solo, is the huge jackpot fee some attorney will earn. I need a case like that, even if I referred it out. I can get rid of my student loan (no more IBR), go to a Silver Plan and put Mrs. Carswell into a two year old Camry.
Is he mockin' the judge by wearing that bandanna? No. It was either the orange bandanna, which he knows the judges hates, or the black one. He's wearing that ridiculous bandanna FOR the judge.
Mocking you say? His shmate is downright classy and respectful compared to a client who appeared in court for a DUI probation violation hearing wearing a Budweiser Frogs t-shirt. Attend any volume court call and folks show up in pajamas, baggy pants, do rags, excessive gold jewelry, Nike sweat suits, cigarettes on their ears, tooth picks, tank tops with much too much exposed and pants 15 sizes too tight and on and on. Were not talking Nordstroms or Armani, here. As long as they are respectful and don't say anything, most judges I know are happy that defendants just appear for their court dates and dispose of their matters.
