We can fight everything or we can draw a line in the sand, figure out what really matters and pick our battles. We know he isn't Jimmy Carter. We need to focus on saving Obamacare, Global Climate Change agreements, Dodd/Frank, civil rights and a second Supreme Court opening after the current opening gets filled. If Trump appoints a "Scalia" at least we will return to a Status Quo 5-4. If he appoints a second "Scalia" the stolen appointment will become critical.

It has been suggested that the piles and piles of documents on the table at the Trump press conference were merely blank pieces of paper. It would seem to be unethical for a lawyer to participate in such a ruse, and the lawyer who appeared with Trump at the press conference, Ms. Dillon, should be held accountable if that were the case.

Not to defend T-Rump, but how is a "blank" stack of papers any different than the "aluminum tube" that Collin Powell showed the UN assembly to justify the war in Iraq? In politics a lot of it is theater. Speaking of attorney ethics. Is it unethical for an attorney to bring several empty brief cases and place law books all over the table so his client can look solid? Or go to Men's Wear House and buy his client a clean shirt and tie? Or ask a female colleague to assist with a sex assault trial? Attorneys do a lot of things to bluster and for show. If an attorney ignores that aspect of the practice to her client's detriment, isn't she committing malpractice?
