"I Can't Stop Loving You" was written in 1957 by Don Gibson, whose 1958 release became a hit on the Country & Western charts. Ray Charles covered the song in 1962 for his album Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music, also releasing it as a single that held the number one spot for five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has since been covered over 700 times.
