Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard wrote "I Fall to Pieces" in 1961. They had trouble convincing anyone to record it, until Patsy Cline agreed

Originally formed as a gospel quartet, the Jordanaires are best known as Elvis Presley's background singers on both recordings and live performances. They were also the original backup singers on Patsy Cline's first recording, which was later remastered with female backups.
