For some, the ends always justify their means; for these, false or exaggerated accusations of misconduct are justified as a means. Thus, these folks engage in conduct that they condemn in others, without a care for truth of their ceaseless lectures about respecting the truth and the basic humanity of others.
Of course, for many folks today, others whom they hate have no humanity to respect.
