WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL is seeking to hire up to six entry-level or junior lateral tenure-track faculty members, to begin in Fall 2024. We seek candidates with interests across a wide range of subject areas who have promise as outstanding scholars and teachers and who will bring diverse experiences and perspectives to enrich our law school community. We are seeking candidates across all subject areas, with particular interest in candidates who will teach courses in the following areas: civil procedure, civil rights and movement lawyering, contracts, corporate/securities/business law, labor and employment law, and tech/privacy/AI/cybersecurity. Our additional areas of interest include criminal law, health law, property, and torts. Additionally, we are seeking to hire a lateral tenured faculty member for the newly-created Schenk Chair in Tax Law. We encourage applications from people of color, women, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ people, and others whose background, experience, and viewpoints would contribute to the diversity of the faculty, as well as candidates whose scholarship engages with questions of social justice. Candidates should send a cover letter, CV, diversity statement, and any other relevant materials to Professor Lance Gable, Faculty Appointments Committee Chair, at lancegable@wayne.edu.
