Peking University School of Transnational Law (“STL”) invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions. Opportunities for appointments extend to a wide range of subjects, including much of the first-year J.D. curriculum (specifically, Business Associations, U.S. Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law, Property, and Torts) as well as upper-level courses with comparative components (a broad category that includes, as illustrative examples, international business transactions, energy law, environmental law, and international dispute resolution).
Peking University is one of the world’s leading research universities, ranked 17th by both Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings.
STL is the only law school in the world to offer an integrated dual degree program that includes an American Law J.D., taught in English, and a China law Juris Master (J.M.), taught largely in Chinese. Established in 2008, STL has more than 1000 graduates, many of whom now serve in leadership positions in global law firms, international organizations, multinational enterprises, state-owned enterprises, and government.
STL is located on Peking University’s Shenzhen Campus, minutes from Hong Kong. Shenzhen, which is widely recognized as a global technology center and the leading hub for technological innovation and internationalization in mainland China, is home to such giants of innovation as Tencent, Huawei, BGI, Ping An, BYD, and DJI Drones.
Inquiries and applications for tenure-track and tenured positions should be addressed to Wang Wei, Associate Director of Human Resources, hr2@stl.pku.edu.cn.
