Call for Papers: Marquette Intellectual Property and Innovation Law Review

From a recent email message:

The Marquette Intellectual Property and Innovation Law Review is now accepting papers for Volume 30, Issue 1 (Fall/Winter Issue). The Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited manuscripts by scholars and practitioners that offer critical, reflective thinking on important, cutting-edge issues in intellectual property. Our editorial board and staff work closely with authors to provide a thorough editing process for accepted articles prior to publication. Managing editors supervise staff members as they verify cited sources, edit footnotes for accuracy, and review the article text to ensure readability while maintaining the author’s unique voice.

MIPILR publishes scholarship devoted to all areas of intellectual property and innovation law, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, technology and computer law, and the law of entrepreneurship. We are also open to expanding our scope to include topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, environmental regulation and its technologies, and emerging legal discussions in science and health technology.

We welcome all scholars, recent graduates, and students to submit papers for consideration in the upcoming issue. Contributors are asked to submit word-processed manuscripts, double-spaced, with quoted material clearly indicated. Authors should include a brief paragraph of biographical data, an abstract, and should follow The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020). Each article or commentary will be reviewed, and if accepted, published as soon as the publication schedule permits. Papers will be accepted until late August or late September, or until we reach our target number, whichever comes first.

If you do not have a paper at this time, we are also considering papers for the Spring Issue concurrently. Please send us a message if you anticipate having a paper for Issue 2.

Additionally, if you are a scholar in the field who wishes to share your work, the Law Review is always welcoming speakers, virtually or in person. Please contact us!

Submissions can be sent to our email: iplawrev@marquette.edu. Further questions can be directed to marquette.iplr.lae@gmail.com. More information is available on our website: https://scholarship.law.marquette.edu/ipilr/prospective_authors.html

We welcome all manuscripts for consideration and are excited to promote the next generation of IP and innovation thinkers.
