Hiring Announcement: University of Connecticut School of Law (visiting faculty position – legal practice program; 2026-27 academic year)

The University of Connecticut School of Law invites applications for a visiting faculty appointment for the 2026–27 academic year in its innovative first-year Legal Practice program.

The successful candidate will teach the following sequence of courses:

Fall Semester:

  • Research and Writing (two sections of approximately 20 students each)

Spring Semester:

  • Advocacy (two sections of approximately 20 students each) – first half of semester
  • Skills Capstone (one section of approximately 40 students, supported by adjunct faculty) – second half of semester

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a J.D. degree, have at least three years of law-practice experience, and demonstrate strong academic achievement and a commitment to excellence in teaching. The law school welcomes applications from experienced legal research and writing (LRW) faculty, clinicians, fellows, and legal professionals interested in transitioning to a career in academia.

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
