The University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth invites applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Academic Success. The Director collaborates in the design, direction, and implementation of all aspects of the Law School’s Academic Success program. Responsibilities include teaching academic success courses; administering the Law Learning Center; meeting with and advising students in academic jeopardy; collecting, analyzing, and reporting data regarding programmatic goals and outcomes; managing the program budget; and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will hold the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor, depending on experience. Assistant Teaching Professors are eligible for promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor and may earn continuous appointment. The position will begin in January 2027. This is a twelve-month position; applicants must be available to teach in the day and evening divisions as needed.
Minimum qualifications: Applicants must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; strong academic credentials; at least two years of experience in law practice or teaching; and prior experience teaching either academic success or bar preparation.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with curriculum design, assessment, and data collection.
