Did anyone notice Google's new feature – Google Latitude? Google describes the service as follows:
=====================
With Google Latitude, you can:
- See where your friends are and what they are up to
- Quickly contact them with SMS, IM, or a phone call
- Control your location and who gets to see it
Enjoy Google Latitude on your phone, PC, or both.
From your mobile phone – View your friends' locations and status messages and share yours with them. (Supported phones)
From your computer – View your friends' locations and status messages on a full screen even without a compatible phone or data plan. Click here to see your friends from your PC.

Is this Twitter to the n-millionth degree? Do we really need to see where everybody is all the time? I think I recall seeing something about "social networking fatigue" in one of the weekend papers. Is there truly a market for even more services that allow us to constantly update each other about our most mundane movements? Or am I just sounding too much like an old timer now?
Q: "Do we really need to see where everybody is all the time?"
A: You all should mash it up with Dan Filler's blog posts so we can see everyone's salaries and bank balances, too. 😉
Hi Professor!
I agree that this seems to go a bit too far. By the way, have you seen the reports of a new study that apparently shows that overreliance on Twitter may make us less moral?

Whoa! Isn't this a bit too much? How bout some little privacy eh?
