What team roster has included the highest number of players later elected to the Hall of Fame?

I think the Yankees have a roster with 9. Probably around 1930 when they had Ruth, Gehrig, Dickey, and I believe that was Hoyt's last season with the Yankees.
I think eschapp is right: the '30 Yankees had Red Ruffing; Waite Hoyt; Herb Pennock; Lefty Gomez; Bill Dickey; Lou Gehrig; Tony Lazzeri; Earle Combs; and the Babe.

I'm pretty sure all these guys are in the Hall, with the possible exception of Lazzeri.
Lazzeri was voted into the hall in 1991.
The Yankees' roster in 1930 did indeed include nine future members of the HOF (identified above). The roster is available at this link:

The Yankees' roster in 1929 included eight future members of the HOF. Ruffing and Gomez are absent (joining the team in 1930), but Leo Durocher played an infield position. No one would suggest that Leo made the Hall on his playing talent (instead, being elected for his managerial prowess). The 1929 team was managed by Miller Huggins, who was elected to the Hall. So that team also had nine future HOF'ers (albeit only eight players, and one of those being elected as a manager).
Imagine the number of Hall of Famers involved in games at that time between the Yankees and the Philadelphia A's (Lefty Grove, Mickey Cochrane, Jimmy Foxx, Al Simmons, etc.). It wouldn't be far-fetched to suggest that there has never been as many future HOF'ers in any other match-up. But maybe that's a question for another day!
