That was going to be my guess, but I don't think he won an Oscar for Inconvenient Truth. Looks like John Steinbeck was nominated for 3 Oscars but never won; he did win the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1962.

George Bernard Shaw won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925 and the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1938 for PYGMALION.

I somehow recall that another might be Whoopi Goldberg.

For a second I thought you were saying that Whoopi won a Nobel Prize, which would have been great.

I would've lost a lot of money on this question, if gambling were legal, of course.

I feel duped, especially since I remember Gore at the Academy Awards speaking to the crowd with an Oscar in his hand.

I do truly like your superior article! Could you write the essay topic for example? Because I do know that an experienced essays online service would create well researched term papers of the best quality.

I figured out a way to make a new trivia question out of my erroneous answer:

Q: Name the only Nobel Prize winner to give an acceptance speech at the Academy Awards for an Oscar that person did not win.

    A: Al Gore.
