What judge (and law professor) lived in the house at right? His son, also a law professor (who also served as a judge for a very short period of time), later lived in it, too. Where is the house?
This is a guess based on what I know about Al's research interests. Did the house belong to St. George Tucker and then Beverley Tucker? If my guess is correct, I assume the house is in Williamsburg.
Bob–you are very good. Perhaps I'm quite predictable — but that you're able to predict me is quite an accomplishment, because my interests are pretty obscure! You are correct; this is the St. George Tucker house in Williamsburg — later occupied by his son Beverley Tucker. I mentioned Tucker in a post on John Marshall's grave: http://www.thefacultylounge.org/2012/06/john-marshalls-grave.html
