Mary Davis Named Dean of Kentucky Law

Dean_mary_davis_kentuckyThe University of Kentucky has announced that Mary Davis will be the dean of its law school.  Davis has been serving as the school's interim dean.  Davis, who holds a JD from Wake Forest Law, will transition to the permanent position on January 1.

    I'm still shocked they got away with only doing an internal search. That would never fly at my school.

    I think transparency is better than the alternative. At my law school, we had a sham search. The provost wasted the faculty’s time and the time of the external candidates only to hire the internal candidate despite a negative faculty vote.
