Welcome Guest Blogger Jeff Yates

We're pleased to welcome Jeff Yates as a guest here at the Lounge.  Jeff is a professor of political science at Binghamton University (aka SUNY Binghamton).  Jeff moved to Binghamton in 2008, after serving as an associate professor in the political science department at the University of Georgia.  He received his JD from the University of Tennessee and his Ph.D from Florida State.

Jeff's focus is on law and courts, the presidency, and public policy.  He has published extensively in both law reviews and political science journals, and he has a new book out  - Presidential Rhetoric and the Public Agenda: Constructing the War on Drugs – co-authored with Andrew Whitford and published by Johns Hopkins University Press.  His SSRN page is here.  We look forward to commentary from a legal scholar who lives outside of the legal academy.  Welcome to the Lounge, Jeff!
