I’m very pleased to announce another great guest here at the Lounge: Donald Tibbs. Donald is an associate professor at Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law (note my careful use of the brand!) He joined us at Drexel this year after being on the faculty of Southern University Law Center for the past couple of years. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and his Ph.D from Arizona State University, and he served as a Hastie Fellow at the University of Wisconsin. He is an interdisciplinary scholar, with a particular focus on issues of race and the law. His first book, Black Power, Prison Power: Race and Legal Consciousness in the Making and Unmaking of the Jones Case is a study of the prisoner’s rights movement in the 1960’s. It is forthcoming from the University of Georgia Press. Welcome to the Faculty Lounge!
