University of Florida Law Seeks Faculty

The University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks to hire several professors, across a variety of fields, as part of the College’s pursuit of excellence in legal education and scholarship.  The University of Florida, located in Gainesville, FL, is currently the fifth best public research institution in the nation and the flagship university of the third largest state.  The Levin College of Law seeks highly qualified candidates for tenure-track positions.

The Appointments Committee welcomes applications from entry-level and pre-tenure lateral candidates writing in all areas of law.  Successful candidates will have publication records, strong scholarly potential, commitment to excellence in teaching, and enthusiasm for creating a welcoming environment for all students.  Candidates must also have a JD or equivalent academic degree.  In reviewing applications, the Appointments Committee will consider long-term teaching needs in required and large enrollment classes, including but not limited to environmental law, health law, administrative law, voting rights and election law, antitrust law, and race and the law.
